Off-premise business the new battleground for restaurant chains

Off-premise food popularity was a top dining trend identified this year. As consumers look for more convenience, there is no shortage of chains wanting to bring the food to where the consumers are. For IHOP, the sales momentum it gained in its Q2 2018 quarter was not exclusively due to the initial lift... but also due to a focus on off-premise sales and operational execution. Uber, Venmo partner for seamless payment experience on Uber, Uber Eats

Uber and Venmo have partnered to add the Venmo digital wallet service as a payment method to Uber Eats and the Uber ride-sharing service. Uber riders will be able to pay with a Venmo balance, linked bank account, credit card or debit card so they can easily split the cost. Furthermore, the connectivity between the apps as a major convenience to users... the riding experience can be shared with an emoji that is specific to the Uber-Venmo partnership.

Popeyes adds Uber Eats restaurant delivery to five markets

Under a partnership with Uber Eats, Popeyes will add delivery to its restaurants in the cities of Chicago, Miami, New York, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C. Using the Uber Eats mobile app and UberEats.com, guests can order menu items to be delivered to their homes or offices.
