New Macaroni Grill menu includes new dishes, limited-time Chef’s Specials
Romano’s Macaroni Grill is getting a menu makeover. The casual dining chain is releasing a new menu with several new dishes to add to its offering. Macaroni Grill is also bringing back favorites from its 30-year history at participating locations.
For a limited time, new “returning-guest-selected” dishes will be offered, including the Salmon Piccata, a grilled salmon filet, capellini, capers, fresh-squeezed lemon juice, artichokes, mushrooms, lemon butter; Seafood Cioppino, a seafood stew in the Italian tradition, with mussels, scallops, shrimp, white fish, arrabbiata sauce, white wine, basil, served with garlic-brushed rosemary bread; San Marino Chicken, a chicken breast, grilled, and topped with mustard cream sauce, calabrian honey pepper glazed shrimp spiedini, and served on spinach sun-dried tomato orzo; and the Chianti Steak, a 10 oz. grilled sirloin, chianti balsamic demi-glace, served with spinach and gorgonzola fettuccine, tossed with crispy prosciutto.
The 106-unit Macaroni Grill chain, which was purchased in 2015 by Redrock Partners for just $8M, is advancing the makeover to spur business. In addition to the classics on the Chef’s Specials menu, these dishes are some of the permanent additions for the new Macaroni Grill menu: stuffed mushroom caps that are filled with sausage, goat cheese, ricotta and spinach and topped with crispy parsley; the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, blending spinach, artichokes, parmesan, mozzarella with white wine and spice, and served with garlic-brushed rosemary bread; and a grilled bone-in pork chop that is prepared with chianti balsamic glaze, topped with wild mushroom and served with a snap pea risotto.
Other menu items added for the new Macaroni Grill menu include the Italian Chopped Salad, the Crunchy Lombardi Salad, Pasta Milano with roasted chicken, sundried tomatoes and mushrooms, Sausage Rigatoni, a grilled salmon filet prepared with Calabrian honey pepper, and Steak and Potatoes,
“Everything we do is centered around both our origin and our roots, and we can’t wait for our guests to discover their new Italian favorites and flavors on our core menu or revel in old traditions,” said Holly Wagstaff-Bellomo, Macaroni Grill vice president of marketing.
